We just got it this week, but the kids absolutely love playing with it in the pool. So far so good - no complaints!
First the packaging is ultra-professional. I am not one for videoing unboxing but if you are, it is worth it. I purchased this for SCUBA first and free diving second. I bought the leg harness to stay more hands free. I found one video with the leg harnesses, and it looked like the girl was having a bit of trouble and just generally awkward. I didn't have that issue. It felt fairly natural. Where the top of the scooter bracket is attached to the harness has some give. I did buy a 40" x 1.5" velcro strap to tighten the scooters to my waist better. That hasn't came in yet and I don't know if it will be an improvement or not. Like I said it felt pretty natural. It is quite negatively buoyant. This needs to be considered with the leg harness for safety reasons. With that being said I feel I could easily shed the harness in an emergency. I don't have any experience with any other scooters. I can on say the top speed it is way faster than I could ever swim. One thing to mention is that the trigger has to be close to the scooters. When I started off the scooters would alternate cutting on and off. I thought I didn't pair them correctly. Then I thought the units were defective. Then I held the trigger closer to my chest instead of my hand extended in front of me. Then all was well. I am happy with my purchase of the two units and look forward to trying them attached to a SCUBA tank.
Finally, after trying several others I found a submersible that actually works. My grandsons (5 and 7) had experience with submersibles so I was comfortable with them using this equipment. They learned how to safely use them in the pool after about 1 minute. They love them (I bought 2). The other brands I bought had numerous quality issues (e.g., battery won’t seat, fan cover comes off, short battery life). So far, this equipment works exactly as advertised.
