I’ve used it to engrave several items as well as cut out letters for various projects. You can literally take any black and white photo and drop it in the laser software and engrave it. This is my first laser and first time using something like this and I got the hang of it pretty easily. Make some practice runs to figure things out before doing an actual product.
I have been engraving names and doing glass etching and it has done a very good job. The software is adequate but could be better.
Gweike cloud is very basic but works. Gweike offline is a rather crude version of lightburn if even at that. Air assist compressor is not built into the main machine but contained in the air filter box that they give you for "free." You can connect your own compressor if you want and forgo the air filter box.Machine is rather loud. You can reduce the noise if you do not use the air filter box (there is a fan in there) and remove the fan in the back of the machine if you have your own inline exhaust fan.Exhaust fumes was my only issue as the unit isnt fully sealed towards the back where the top lid meets the body of the laser as well as the air filter box inlet and exit holes being a bit too small for the flex piping.
